
The 9th edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) is taking place in Lagos, Nigeria, celebrating Africa’s dynamic music scene and rich cultural heritage.
The festival kicked off on January 9, 2026, with the AFRIMA Music Village, an open-air concert featuring performances by top artists including Femi Kuti, Skales, Wande Coal, Diamond Platnumz, Mavo, and Yemi Alade.
The main awards ceremony is set for January 11, 2026, and will be co-hosted by Nigerian rapper and actor Falz and French-Senegalese actress and media personality Liliane Maroune.

This year’s AFRIMA festival carries the theme “Unstoppable Africa,” highlighting the continent’s growing global influence and creative excellence. Organized by the International Executive Committee of AFRIMA in partnership with the African Union Commission and the Lagos State Government, the annual event aims to honor Africa’s musical talent and celebrate its cultural richness.
