APC: Tinubu Committed to Nigeria’s Security and Prosperity

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged Nigerians to trust President Bola Tinubu’s genuine commitment to fostering a safer, united, and prosperous nation.

Speaking at the party’s 3rd edition of the “Christmas Carol and Nine Lessons” in Lagos, Lagos State APC Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi highlighted the President’s dedication to national unity, economic revitalization, and citizen welfare. The event, themed “Prince of Peace (Omo Alade Alafia),” took place at the APC Secretariat in Ogba.

Ojelabi called on citizens to uphold their role in making Nigeria a better country. “We acknowledge and commend President Tinubu’s efforts to make Nigeria safer and more prosperous. His vision inspires us to redouble our commitment to Lagos and the nation,” he said.

He further praised Lagos State’s leadership under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for ensuring the security of lives and property, emphasizing that the state remains a safe haven for residents, visitors, and tourists.

Ojelabi also linked the Christmas celebration to the universal message of peace, love, and service, urging Nigerians to set aside bitterness, hatred, and violence.

Represented by his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that Lagos has enjoyed 25 years of peace and urged residents to prioritize harmony above all. “Peace has always been our cornerstone, regardless of political affiliation. Let this season strengthen our unity,” he said.

Senate Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, in a goodwill message, reminded Nigerians to remove obstacles to national progress and live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Religious and political leaders, including Rev. Esther Ajayi and Dr. Ibikoke Sanwo-Olu, participated in reading the nine lessons of the carol, while Bishop Stephen Adegbite and the Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission offered prayers for Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, Nigeria, and Lagos State.

The event drew large crowds of APC members, political and religious leaders, with church choirs and gospel artistes providing entertainment.
