Controversial commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM) has ignited heated discussions online after questioning why many Black African nations lag in development compared to others on the continent.
Reflecting on his travels, VDM highlighted disparities in infrastructure, governance, and investment. He asked:
“Are African countries with Black skin cursed? Look at Morocco, Algeria, Egypt… Why is Black Africa different?”
VDM pointed to poor governance, lack of effective communication, and limited investment as key factors holding back progress:
“Everything is working well elsewhere, but in Black Africa, it’s chaotic. People don’t communicate properly, governance fails, and investment is scarce.”
His remarks quickly divided social media users, with some agreeing and others calling the statements misleading or offensive.
The debate underscores ongoing questions about why some African countries advance faster than others, raising issues of leadership, resource management, and development priorities.
