Asiwaju Mandate Group stakeholders meet as Tunji-Ojo lifts 10 people with N2m each

The Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG), Akoko North West chapter, held a crucial stakeholders’ meeting aimed at consolidating political support and fortifying the group’s structure ahead of the 2027 general elections. The event, which focused on energizing local leaders and reinforcing political alliances, was capped off by an empowerment program led by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who is also the financier of the support group.

Strengthening Political Structure and Grassroots Mobilisation

The meeting, which brought together political stakeholders from across the local government’s wards, was designed to further solidify AMG’s internal cohesion, enhance public awareness of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s achievements, and energize the base ahead of the upcoming elections.

Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through his financial backing and deep commitment to grassroots political development, underlined the significance of this initiative. Asiwaju Olumuyiwa Asagunla, Director General of AMG, described the exercise as a strategic move to stabilize the organization, reinforce unity, and ensure continuous outreach and sensitization across the state.

“This is a deliberate and structured effort to stabilise the organisation, reinforce internal cohesion, and sustain continuous sensitisation across the state,” Asagunla said, stressing the importance of local leaders understanding and communicating the achievements of the Tinubu administration.

Empowerment of 10 Local Leaders

A standout feature of the meeting was the empowerment of 10 selected local leaders from Akoko North West, each receiving N2 million in support. This initiative, led by Dr. Tunji-Ojo, aims to directly impact the grassroots by providing financial assistance to local political figures and community leaders. The support is seen as a clear demonstration of the Minister’s commitment to strengthening the BTO (Bola Tinubu Ojo) family, a key political support group that has been instrumental in the minister’s efforts across the region.

The presentation of the empowerment funds was made on behalf of Dr. Tunji-Ojo by the Director General of AMG. Each beneficiary was acknowledged as a crucial part of the political movement, with the funds intended to help further their local initiatives and support the broader goals of the Asiwaju Mandate Group.

Consolidating Support for President Tinubu’s Mandate

The AMG’s broader mission is to ensure the continuity of President Tinubu’s reforms and policies, particularly as the country heads into the 2027 elections. By hosting these stakeholder meetings, the group aims to ensure that every community is well-informed about the President’s achievements, helping to mobilize support for the ruling government.

With Dr. Tunji-Ojo’s significant influence in the region, this meeting and the associated empowerment program are seen as major efforts to consolidate political strength for the Tinubu administration. The BTO family and other political structures in the local government are working towards ensuring a unified front in the lead-up to the general elections.

Looking Ahead to 2027

As Nigeria approaches the 2027 general elections, the AMG remains focused on galvanizing grassroots support and ensuring that President Bola Tinubu’s legacy is well-represented at the local level. This meeting and empowerment program were part of a larger series of efforts aimed at reinforcing political engagement, promoting the President’s reforms, and preparing the foundation for a successful election cycle.
