Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Phyna, has opened up about the realities of life after the reality show, cautioning aspiring contestants against assuming instant fame and fortune.
During a Twitch livestream, Phyna explained that the massive attention housemates receive while on the show rarely translates into lasting relevance. She noted that fan excitement fades quickly once a season ends, and the same audience shifts loyalty to new contestants, leaving former housemates struggling to maintain influence and visibility.
Phyna also criticized the widespread notion that appearing on BBNaija automatically brings wealth and success. She revealed that many former contestants privately face financial and emotional challenges, despite the pressure on social media to appear successful.
According to Phyna, BBNaija no longer holds the prestige it once did. Being introduced as a former housemate no longer commands the same respect or recognition, and ex-contestants often compete for brand endorsements, relevance, and steady income once attention moves on to the next season.
The reality star stressed that aspiring participants must fully understand the post-show pressures, including intense public scrutiny and mental, emotional, and financial hurdles, before joining the show.
Meanwhile, Phyna previously made headlines after publicly criticizing Davido’s aide, Israel DMW, in a viral clip, accusing him of unfair treatment toward his ex-wife, Shelia, following their separation.
