Reality TV star Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has come to the defense of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen following an on-field altercation with teammate Ademola Lookman during Nigeria’s match against Mozambique.

The clash, which required intervention from teammates and officials, sparked widespread criticism of Osimhen. However, in a viral video, Tacha praised the Super Eagles’ overall performance, calling it “the best match she had watched in a long time,” and expressed regret at not being in Morocco to cheer for the team.

Addressing Osimhen’s reaction, Tacha noted that his fiery temperament stems from passion and dedication, especially after competitive matches. She highlighted that Osimhen had several attempts at goal but was reportedly denied the ball multiple times, suggesting that anyone in his position would have reacted similarly.

Tacha further compared Osimhen to Cristiano Ronaldo, arguing that similar behavior from Ronaldo would not have drawn the same criticism. She even jokingly challenged the coach to bench Osimhen in the next game to “see something,” sparking mixed reactions among fans.

While some agreed with her perspective, others maintained that on-field conduct should remain professional.
