Bihar: Post-Mortem Confirms Dular Chand Yadav Died of Cardiorespiratory Failure

Patna, November 1, 2025: Gangster-turned-politician Dular Chand Yadav passed away due to cardiorespiratory failure caused by shock from injuries to the heart and lungs, according to the post-mortem report submitted to Patna Police. Details from the Post-Mortem Report

The report clarified that the shock from the injuries was the primary factor leading to his death, providing critical evidence for ongoing investigations into the incident.

Police Investigation and Legal Actions

Following Yadav’s death, the police have registered three separate FIRs related to the case and detained two individualsfor questioning. The investigation is focused on identifying how Yadav sustained the fatal injuries and who was directly involved in the attack.

In addition, the Station House Officers (SHOs) of Bhadaur and Ghoswari police stations were suspended for dereliction of duty, highlighting concerns over the handling of the situation in the immediate aftermath of the incident.

Accusations and FIRs

Local strongman Anant Singh, the JD(U) candidate from Mokama, has been named as an accused along with four others in one of the FIRs, filed by Yadav’s grandson.

  • A second FIR was lodged against six individuals following a complaint by the Prashat Kishor-led Jan Suraaj Party.
  • The third FIR was registered by the police based on its own investigation into the circumstances surrounding Yadav’s death.

Political and Public Repercussions

The incident has triggered political tensions in Mokama ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. Yadav’s death during election campaigning has intensified scrutiny over law and order, particularly in constituencies historically affected by violent political rivalries.

Authorities have emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, with a priority on determining the exact sequence of events and holding those responsible accountable.

This case highlights the intersection of political violence and criminal activities in certain regions, drawing attention to the need for stringent security measures during election campaigns, especially involving candidates with controversial pasts.
