BREAKING: 95 Princes, Princesses Seek Awujale Stool

No fewer than 95 princes and princesses from the Fusengbuwa Ruling House have formally indicated interest in ascending the stool of the Awujale of Ijebuland.

The development was disclosed by the Olori Ebi of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Lateef Owoyemi, at the commencement of a nomination meeting held on Monday at Bisi Rodipe Hall, GRA, Ijebu Ode.

Owoyemi, who is also known as Otunba Jadiara, said the large number of aspirants reflects the keen interest within the ruling house to produce the next Awujale.

Other leaders of the ruling house present at the meeting included the Deputy Olori Ebi, Otunba Ajidagba, the Chairman, Chief Fassy Yusuf, and other key members.

Otunba Owoyemi explained that the names of candidates who successfully scale the first stage of the nomination process would be forwarded to the Afobajes.

According to him, the Afobajes will select one candidate as the next Awujale and forward the nominee’s name to the Ogun State Government for approval.

He added that any aggrieved aspirant or party dissatisfied with the process is free to channel their grievances to the state government.
