BREAKING: Court Sets November 20 for Judgment in Nnamdi Kanu’s Terrorism Trial

A Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled November 20, 2025, for judgment in the terrorism trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed separatist group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The ruling was made by Justice James Omotosho on Friday after Kanu failed to open his defence, having exhausted the six days allocated by the court to him for this purpose.

The judge stated that Kanu, having not utilised the opportunity granted to present his defence, cannot claim to have been denied his constitutionally guaranteed right to a fair hearing.

Further details on the case are expected as the judgment date approaches.
