The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the promotion examinations and interactive sessions for Senior Police Officers (SPs) seeking elevation to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), and for CSPs aiming for promotion to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

According to an official directive from the Nigeria Police Force Secretary (NIGPOL FORSEC) dated November 25, 2025, the sessions are scheduled as follows:

• CSP Promotion Exam: Monday, December 1, 2025
• SP Promotion Exam: Tuesday, December 2, 2025
• Venue: Parry Osayande Auditorium, PSC Corporate Headquarters, Plot 64, Cadastral Zone, Jabi, Abuja
• Reporting Time: 7:00 a.m. to commanders for briefing; 8:00 a.m. commencement of exams

A total of 596 SPs and 56 CSPs have been directed to attend. Officers are required to review core duties, professional studies, and relevant laws before the sessions.

The prescribed dress code for the exam is the conventional black jacket, beret, and swagger cane, while officers in tactical units should wear a black shirt over green denim with a beret.

For security, the PSC has instructed that 12 armed personnel be provided as escorts for each session. Additionally, serviceable vehicles will transport senior officers, with Hilux vans on standby at the Force Headquarters Parade Ground from 6:00 a.m.

The official wireless message emphasized that these instructions are of “Very Important” priority and must be implemented immediately.

The PSC also published detailed lists of officers slated to attend, including Bilikisu Shaibu, Fatima Yop Ayuba, Abdulmalik Abubakar, Muktari Bello, Olusegun Ojo, and many others.
