Christian leaders from different denominations in Kaduna State have commended Governor Uba Sani for his leadership style, which they described as fair, equitable, and inclusive.
The commendation was given on Sunday during a Christmas carol organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in collaboration with the Kaduna State Government.
Speaking at the event, Bishop Ademola Tinuoye, Chairman of the Pentecostal Bishops’ Forum (PBF), recalled that Governor Uba Sani made four major promises when he assumed office, including fairness, equity, inclusiveness, and justice.
According to Bishop Tinuoye, the governor has delivered on those commitments.
“You promised us fairness, and we can see fairness in your leadership. You promised equity, and it is evident in all aspects of governance. You also promised inclusiveness, and everyone is being carried along,” he said.
He added that the people of Kaduna State are happy, noting that “when the righteous rule, the people rejoice.”
The bishop further praised the governor for fulfilling his promise to support the annual Christmas carol, saying the event was a reflection of love and unity.
“The church in Kaduna will continue to pray for you. You need not fear where there is no fear,” he added.
In his goodwill message, the President of the United Church of Christ, Reverend Dr Amos Kiri, praised Governor Uba Sani for attending the event alongside members of his cabinet.
He described the governor’s presence as reassuring and a demonstration of love, peace, and inclusive governance.
“Over the years, Christians in Kaduna State have rarely had the privilege of seeing a sitting governor attend a Christian programme like this,” Reverend Kiri said.
He also noted that the participation of people from other faiths made the event an interfaith Christmas carol, expressing gratitude for the show of unity.
Reverend Kiri added that if the governor sustains his current leadership approach, Kaduna State will continue to enjoy peace and development.
Also speaking, Reverend Dr Tunde Bolanta, Apostolic Overseer of Restoration Ministries Worldwide, described Christmas as a season of peace, unity, and bridge-building, values he said Governor Uba Sani has demonstrated in governance.
Reflecting on Kaduna’s past, Bolanta said the governor’s actions were restoring the spirit of interfaith harmony that once defined the state.
“What the governor is doing is bringing back the old Kaduna of shared celebrations and peaceful coexistence,” he said.
He described Governor Uba Sani as a leader for all, noting that projects are being executed across the state without discrimination, and called for continued prayers for his administration.
