Content creator and streamer Carter Efe has responded to socialite Tunde Perry, who recently claimed that Carter Efe would never meet Afrobeats superstar Wizkid. Perry had shared his own encounter with Wizkid in Lagos, asserting that meeting the singer was out of Carter Efe’s reach.
During a livestream, Carter Efe dismissed Perry’s comments as unnecessary and provocative. He stressed that meeting an artist should not define one’s relevance or success, citing his own experience with Davido, who had appeared on his livestream. According to Carter Efe, the interaction with Davido brought new opportunities, deals, and financial support.
“Because you sit down near Wizkid, body dey sweet you, you come dey talk anyhow. Come sit down with Davido make you see how your life go change. You dey tell me I no go ever see Wizkid? Wetin I wan use Wizkid do? Wizkid na God,” Carter Efe said.
He emphasized that meaningful connections and personal growth matter more than bragging rights about knowing a particular celebrity, urging people not to place artists on a pedestal.
The video quickly went viral, sparking reactions online, with fans praising Carter Efe for his candid response and his focus on opportunities over clout.
