Following Afreximbank’s recent equity acquisition of his C.R.E.A.M Platform, global entertainer and tech entrepreneur D’banj has unveiled the Nigerian Youth Positively Driven (NYPD) initiative, a nationwide program encouraging Nigerians to celebrate positive actions and community impact. The launch took place during the UN@80 celebration in Abuja, alongside the introduction of the Creative Alliance for Peace.
The NYPD initiative invites citizens to document inspiring deeds and community-driven projects through its online portal. Featured individuals can win a ₦1,000,000 grant, while those uploading entries earn ₦250,000, with weekly rewards making NYPD one of Nigeria’s largest ongoing positive-impact reward programs.
Selected entries are further supported by the Creative Alliance for Peace, ensuring amplified reach, development, and long-term community impact. A key focus of the alliance is on renewable energy solutions and sustainable projects across Nigeria.
D’banj described the initiative as a national call to shift attention from negativity and highlight positive stories shaping Nigeria’s future.
“In today’s creative industry, content is our biggest export, but the youth lack strong platforms and alliances to access support. Africa is huge in creativity, and we have barely scratched the surface. The Nigerian Youth Positively Driven movement is a call to action for young people who want to make a difference,” D’banj said.
With NYPD, D’banj aims to mobilize and empower the nation’s youth, creating a platform for recognition, development, and meaningful societal change.
