In a tragic incident on Friday morning, a Delhi Police sub-inspector posted with the PCR unit was found dead inside his car near the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital, reportedly with a gunshot wound. Authorities identified the deceased as Sub-Inspector Narender, a resident of Dilshad Garden.
According to officials, the body was discovered by his colleague, Constable Mandeep Kumar, who noticed Sub-Inspector Narender lying unconscious inside the vehicle. Recognizing that something was amiss, Kumar immediately alerted senior officers. A police team was dispatched promptly, and upon reaching the spot, they found Narender deceased.
“Around 10:15 am, his colleague noticed him unconscious inside the vehicle and alerted senior officers. A team was rushed to the spot immediately, where he was found dead,” a Delhi Police officer told news agency PTI.
Sub-Inspector Narender is survived by his wife, who has been bedridden for the past five months following a paralysis episode, and their two young sons. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, including the possibility of suicide or foul play, though details remain limited at this stage.
The incident has raised concerns within the police department, prompting senior officials to initiate a probe into the events leading up to Narender’s death and examine any potential personal or professional pressures he may have been facing.
