Delta Government Sets Deadline for Tourism and Hospitality Registration Renewal

The Delta State Government has issued a strict directive for all tourism and hospitality operators to regularise their registration and settle outstanding renewal fees for 2025.

The announcement, made by the Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Darlington Nnamdi Ijeh, applies to all operators, including hotels, motels, guest houses, restaurants, fast food outlets, tour companies, travel agencies, amusement parks, gardens, and nightclubs.

Dr. Ijeh warned that failure to comply could lead to strict sanctions, including the sealing of non-compliant establishments, in accordance with state laws.

He stressed that the directive is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to streamline operations, enhance sector regulation, and ensure all businesses operate legally. Operators are urged to visit the Delta State Tourism Board promptly to complete their registration or renewal to avoid penalties.
