Delta Police Raid HK “Torture House,” Rescue Seven Boys, Arrest Two Suspects

The Delta State Police Command has successfully uncovered and dismantled a clandestine torture apartment allegedly operated under the guise of Hustlers Kingdom (HK), where seven young boys were held captive and subjected to brutal physical abuse in the name of “learning yahoo yahoo,” a street term for internet fraud.

Victims Speak Out

The operation was triggered after a 28-year-old victim named Chukwuike escaped by jumping out of a window to report his ordeal to the police. Chukwuike revealed that he had been held in the apartment for two months and one day, during which he and others were routinely flogged with canes and denied basic sustenance.

“We don’t eat. Sometimes, we eat once in a day and then go four days without food. We don’t have access to our phones. Anytime we tell the chairman that we want to go, he beats us with cane and refuses to let us leave. That was why I jumped from the window to report to the Police. The marks on my back were done by my chairman because we didn’t have a paying client,” Chukwuike said.

Another victim, a 23-year-old from Benue State, shared that he was prevented from leaving even though he informed the “chairman” of his desire to go home on the very first day.

Police Intervention

Delta State Police spokesperson, Superintendent of Police (SP) Bright Edafe, disclosed that the boys had been subjected to extreme physical abuse, leaving visible injuries. Acting on the tip-off from Chukwuike, police operatives raided the apartment and rescued all seven victims.

“You need to see the boy’s back,” SP Edafe remarked, highlighting the severe brutality discovered at the location.

During the operation, two suspects, who claimed to be the “chairmen” of the Hustlers Kingdom network, were arrested. The victims are currently receiving medical attention, while investigations continue.

Suspects to Face Serious Charges

The Delta State Police Command confirmed that the suspects would be charged with multiple offences, including:

  • Human trafficking
  • Unlawful detention
  • Physical assault
  • Exploitation of minors

SP Edafe warned parents, guardians, and young Nigerians to be vigilant about the growing proliferation of HK-style criminal hideouts, emphasizing that the police will continue to raid and dismantle such operations across the state.

“The Command is committed to intensifying its crackdown on syndicates preying on vulnerable youths and will ensure that perpetrators face the full weight of the law,” he added.

The Growing Threat of Hustlers Kingdom

Hustlers Kingdom has emerged as a dangerous criminal network targeting vulnerable youths, coercing them into internet fraud while exposing them to physical abuse, exploitation, and psychological trauma. The Delta State Police’s intervention underscores the need for community vigilance and proactive policing to safeguard children and young adults from such predatory operations.
