The father of late Afrofuji singer Destiny Boy has made an emotional appeal to Nigerians after his son’s SUV reportedly went missing just two days following the young artiste’s death.
The singer, whose real name was Afeez Adeshina, passed away on January 18, 2026, reportedly due to complications from epilepsy, as confirmed by his mother.
Speaking about the missing vehicle, his father explained that the SUV, purchased from Lycon Autos, was taken back to the dealership under unclear circumstances. He noted that both he and Destiny Boy were present at the time of purchase.
He said:
“Nigerians, please help me. My son had a car, and it’s with Lycon Autos. Although it’s not new, it is an SUV jeep. We went together to buy it. Lycon Autos assigned a driver to bring the car home. Destiny started using the driver for personal errands. The driver claimed Destiny owed him and took the car back to the dealership. I don’t have his number. If the car were here, I would have picked it up.”
The father’s appeal has raised public concern and calls for assistance in locating the vehicle.
