Music mogul Don Jazzy has pledged N20 million in support of an initiative aimed at empowering 10,000 Nigerian youths with laptops, the project’s founder announced on social media.
The initiative, called The Tech Access Project, was launched by Ayilola Ayotomiwa, who shared her vision to equip young Nigerians passionate about tech, design, music production, and digital entrepreneurship with the tools they need to succeed.
“Our vision is simple but deeply powerful: to give young Nigerians the tools they need to build their future,” Ayotomiwa wrote, urging sponsors and supporters to help make laptops accessible through sponsorships, subsidized partnerships, or amplifying the message.
Don Jazzy commended the initiative, describing it as “commendable”, while acknowledging that the goal of 10,000 laptops is ambitious. He pledged N20 million toward the project and encouraged other well-meaning Nigerians to contribute.
“Bro I hail o. Your initiative is commendable. But sir, 10,000 laptops is not beans. At this time, I can only afford to support with 20 million Naira and a repost. Hopefully, some other well-meaning Nigerians can help achieve the goal,” he wrote.
The Tech Access Project aims to empower young Nigerians by giving them access to modern tools for learning, creating, and earning from their talents, bridging the digital gap and fostering innovation.
