Edo APC passes vote of confidence in Governor Okpebholo and party leaders

The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed full confidence in Governor Monday Okpebholo for his leadership, commitment, and efforts in repositioning the party and promoting the development of Edo State.

The party also passed a vote of confidence in the state Chairman, Jarret Tenebe, and Secretary, Lawrence Okah, following a meeting of the State Working Committee (SWC) over the weekend.

According to a statement signed by APC spokesman Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie, the SWC deliberated on issues affecting the smooth functioning and cohesion of the party in Edo State.

The statement also announced that the party has lifted the suspension on Valentine Asue and Mrs. Stella Ogbetta, the woman leader of Oredo Ward 10. However, the suspension of Ward Nine Chairman of Etsako East Local Government, Mallam Adamu Ototobor, remains in force until further notice.

“SWC advises all members to remain law-abiding and committed to the principles and discipline of the party, pending further directives,” the statement added.

This move underscores the APC’s internal consolidation and support for its leadership ahead of upcoming political activities in Edo State.
