Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) has asserted that Christians in Nigeria are being specifically targeted and killed, describing anyone who denies this as a “propagandist, genocide enabler, and liar.”
Speaking on Tuesday, FFK highlighted the recent surge in killings and mass abductions, emphasizing that while Christians are heavily targeted, Muslims are also victims of terrorist attacks in Nigeria.
He cited recent incidents:
- The abduction of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi State and the murder of the school principal involved Muslim victims.
- The Tsafe, Zamfara abductions and killings also affected Muslims.
- The Kagarko, Kaduna abductions involved Christian victims.
- Attacks on Army officers in Borno State included both Christians and Muslims.
FFK stressed that terrorists “only care about the spilling of innocent blood” and called for urgent action to address the killings.
His remarks come amid claims by some US lawmakers that Christians are being persecuted in Nigeria, a claim currently being investigated despite Nigerian authorities dismissing it.
