The Federal Government has called on Nigerian companies to maximize the Nigeria First Policy, aimed at boosting local content, domestic production, and reducing reliance on imports.

Senator George Akume, SGF, made the appeal during a visit by Solewant Group MD, Mr. Solomon Ewanehi, emphasizing that the policy is driving local capacity, innovation, and industrial growth. He urged businesses across sectors to take advantage of opportunities under the initiative to build a more resilient economy.

Akume commended Solewant Group for investing in the oil and gas value chain, including steel pipes, metal fabrication, and coating solutions, aligning with government efforts to enhance indigenous participation in the energy sector.

Ewanehi highlighted that Solewant Group has expanded production for Nigeria and other African markets, supporting federal directives to increase crude oil output and strengthen local manufacturing.
