First Look of Agastya Nanda in ‘Ikkis’ Released; Actor Portrays Param Vir Chakra Hero Arun Khetarpal

The first look of Agastya Nanda, grandson of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, from the upcoming war drama Ikkishas been unveiled, giving audiences a glimpse of the young actor in his role as Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. The film, directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, is slated for a December 2025 release.

Honoring a National Hero

Ikkis is based on the true story of Arun Khetarpal, who displayed extraordinary bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, particularly in the Battle of Basantar. Khetarpal, posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, is remembered as a symbol of courage and sacrifice. The film aims to capture his heroic journey and inspire a new generation with his story. Veteran actor Dharmendra also features in the film, adding depth to the ensemble cast.

Maddock Films shared the first poster on social media, stating, “On the birth anniversary of Arun Khetarpal, Ikkis, a story that will forever stay in our hearts, is wrapped. Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films present Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, a true untold story of the youngest officer recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. In cinemas December 2025!”

The first look post quickly drew reactions from Agastya’s family and fans. His sister, Navya Nanda, and uncle, Abhishek Bachchan, shared the poster, expressing their support and excitement for Agastya’s project. Suhana Khan, rumored to be Agastya’s girlfriend, also shared the look on her Instagram stories. Fans flooded social media with encouraging messages, praising the film’s focus on real-life heroism. The teaser for Ikkis, released in May 2025, opens with a poignant letter sent to Lt. Khetarpal’s father during the Battle of Basantar, informing him of his son’s martyrdom on December 16, 1971. The visuals then transition into intense wartime sequences, showing Agastya embodying the valor and sacrifice of the young officer. The teaser has already generated excitement among audiences, showcasing the emotional and heroic journey central to the film.

Agastya Nanda’s Rising Bollywood Journey

Ikkis marks Agastya Nanda’s second major project in Bollywood. He made his debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies(2023), a Netflix musical adaptation of the beloved comic series, where he played Archie Andrews alongside Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor. While The Archies introduced him as a charming young actor, Ikkis is expected to showcase his range and ability to portray intense, real-life characters.
