
The ninth Financial Markets Dealers Association (FMDA) 2025 Conference will convene next Thursday at the Federal Palace Hotel & Casino, Victoria Island, Lagos, bringing together top industry leaders to discuss the future of Nigeria’s financial system.
The event will feature Philip Ikeazor, Deputy Governor of the Financial System Stability Directorate at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), speaking on Financial Inclusion and Economic Growth. Other key speakers include Olusegun Alebiosu, Managing Director/CEO of First Bank of Nigeria, addressing Building Market Confidence through Transparency and Accountability, and Moruf Oseni, MD/CEO of Wema Bank, who will speak on Digital Transformation in Financial Services.
Additional presentations will be delivered by Dr. Blaise Ijebor, CBN Director of Risk Management, on Risk Management and Cybersecurity in Financial Markets, Mrs. Monsurat Vincent, Director of Strategy & Innovation Management at CBN, on Regulatory Frameworks for Innovation, and Roy Daniels, Chair of ACI Financial Markets Association.
FMDA President Anwuli Femi-Pearse emphasized that the conference theme—“Future-Proofing Nigeria’s Financial System: Policy, Technology and Market Confidence”—underscores the pivotal role of technology and sound policy in advancing the country’s financial markets and ensuring seamless investment services.
FMDA CEO Fisayo Fatade described the gathering as an opportunity for financial market participants, regulators, investors, corporate organizations, and stakeholders to deliberate on the future of Nigeria’s financial markets and the transformative potential of technology.
The FMDA, comprising licensed Deposit Money Banks and non-bank financial institutions, is dedicated to regulatory engagement, advocacy, and promoting professional ethics within Nigeria’s financial markets.
