An old video of popular Nigerian content creator and livestreamer Carter Efe issuing a stern warning to his babymama, Emmanuella, has resurfaced online and is currently sparking conversations across social media.
The clip re-emerged amid the ongoing public fallout between the pair, which reportedly revolves around issues concerning their relationship, child custody, and alleged maltreatment.
According to recent claims, Emmanuella accused Carter Efe of controlling her movements during their relationship and allegedly cutting her off from family and friends. She also dismissed Carter’s claim that they had been separated for a year, alleging that they were still intimate just days before his public declaration of being single.
Old Clip Resurfaces
The resurfaced video, shared by social media user @Honest30bgfan, shows Carter Efe warning Emmanuella against dancing suggestively on TikTok. In the clip, he firmly cautioned that repeating such behavior would result in her being sent back to her parents’ home.
“Let me warn you for the last time, the day you shake your bumbum on TikTok, that day, you’re going to Shoba,” he said.
Carter Efe’s Recent Spotlight
The controversy comes shortly after Carter Efe made headlines for his record-breaking Twitch livestream featuring Afrobeats superstar Davido. The livestream attracted over 83,000 viewers, making it the most-watched Twitch stream in Africa, and helped Carter Efe become the continent’s most-followed Twitch streamer with more than 405,000 followers.
However, the celebration was short-lived as Twitch later suspended his account for four months over alleged violations of its Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. While the exact reason for the suspension remains unclear, speculation suggests it may be linked to mass reporting or content from the livestream.
