Haryana Man Allegedly Murders Mother and Her ‘Lover,’ Drives to Police Station with Their Bodies

Sirsa, Haryana, November 29, 2025 – In a shocking incident that has sent ripples through Sirsa district, a 25-year-old man allegedly strangled his mother and her long-time paramour to death and then drove to the local police station with their bodies. The crime, which authorities say occurred in Sikanderpur village, unfolded in the early hours between Thursday night and Friday morning.

Police officials identified the accused as Raj Kumar. According to preliminary investigations, Kumar walked in on his mother, 42-year-old Anguri Devi, and the neighbour, 55-year-old Lekh Raj, in what he described as an “objectionable position” inside his house. Officials said the accused had long been aware of the alleged extra-marital affair between his mother and the neighbour, which reportedly spanned over 15 years. Family members had allegedly urged Anguri Devi to end the relationship, but she allegedly continued seeing Lekh Raj.

Following the confrontation, Kumar allegedly strangled both individuals using a cloth. In a chilling twist, after committing the murders, he placed the bodies in his pick-up vehicle and drove straight to the Sadar police station, where he parked the vehicle and surrendered to the authorities.

“He brought the bodies of the duo in his pick-up vehicle and parked it at the police station,” a senior police official, who requested anonymity, told reporters. “He confessed to having killed the two using a cloth.”

The bodies were immediately sent for post-mortem examination, and Kumar was formally arrested in connection with the murders. Police are conducting further investigations to ascertain the sequence of events and the motive, while also collecting statements from family members and neighbours to corroborate the accused’s claims.

Officials said that the accused mentioned the ongoing affair and repeated family warnings as the key trigger behind his actions. The case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder, and investigators are looking into whether any prior threats or disputes existed between the parties involved.

The incident has sent shockwaves through Sikanderpur village and neighbouring areas, with locals expressing disbelief at the extreme steps taken by Kumar. Many villagers described the case as “unprecedented” in the area, noting that the alleged affair had long been a subject of community gossip.

Police have assured that the investigation will be thorough and that the accused will be produced before the local court, while the post-mortem reports are expected to provide additional clarity on the exact cause and timing of death.

The case highlights deep societal and familial tensions surrounding issues of morality, relationships, and personal grievance, and it has already ignited debate on social media about the extreme actions that can arise from domestic disputes.

Authorities have urged the public to allow the police to complete their investigation without speculation. Meanwhile, the family of the deceased has requested privacy during this difficult time, and community leaders have called for calm and restraint in discussing the matter publicly.

As the investigation continues, officials are examining all angles, including the accused’s mental state and any possible premeditation, to ensure that the judicial process addresses the gravity of the crime in accordance with the law.
