“I Was Hospitalised at the Airport” – Doris Ogala Opens Up About Arrest While Breastfeeding

Controversial Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has opened up about a traumatic experience involving her arrest shortly after childbirth, revealing that she was taken into custody while still breastfeeding her newborn son.

According to the actress, the incident occurred barely a month after she welcomed her baby boy, a situation she said authorities failed to consider at the time of her arrest. Doris alleged that police officers stormed her residence and separated her from her child, forcing her baby to be fed with milk purchased by her sister.

Speaking about the ordeal, Doris disclosed that the experience took a toll on her health, leading to serious medical complications.

“I was hospitalised at the airport because where I had an operation got infected,” she said.

The actress also accused Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Liberation City, of using law enforcement officers to harass her amid their ongoing dispute. The arrest reportedly took place on December 20, 2025, while Doris was participating in a livestream interview, during which she confirmed the presence of police officers at her home.

The controversy stems from allegations made by Doris that Pastor Okafor reneged on a promise to marry her. Following the incident, she filed a ₦1 billion lawsuit against him, citing emotional distress, reputational damage, and breach of trust.

In a dramatic turn of events, Pastor Okafor later issued a public apology, kneeling before his congregation and expressing regret over his actions.

“I am sorry to everyone I have offended, to Doris Ogala also. I apologize and I am ready to make amends,” he stated.

While Doris accepted the apology, she openly disagreed with claims that her allegations were false, insisting that her experience and suffering were real.

The incident has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing concern over the treatment of nursing mothers and calling for more humane law enforcement practices.
