‘I Was Wrong’- Oladips Admits Fault, Seeks Reconciliation With Reminisce in New Song

Nigerian rapper Oladips has officially reconciled with his former label boss, Reminisce, after a long-standing feud that had been marked by public tension, social media spats, and diss tracks. In his latest song, “Iba Paris 26”, Oladips openly admits that he was wrong and seeks peace, marking a significant turn in his relationship with Reminisce.

The rapper revealed in the track that he had made multiple attempts to reconcile with Reminisce privately, but when those efforts failed, he decided to use his music as the platform to address the issue publicly. “I tried to make contact severally but it didn’t work. This is me saying it openly,” Oladips says in the song.

Oladips initially rose to fame under LRR/EDGE Records, a label owned by Reminisce. However, their relationship soured in 2019 when Oladips publicly criticized the label for its handling of his career. Despite having successful songs, he claimed the label blocked his exit, which led to a series of public disputes, including diss tracks aimed at each other.

The long-running tension between them had a negative impact on Oladips’ career, as he previously stated that the feud hurt his professional relationships and stifled his growth in the industry. However, in his new song, the rapper expresses a more reflective and matured mindset, acknowledging the personal growth that led him to seek closure and peace.

Oladips credits life lessons for his change in approach, opting for reconciliation rather than further conflict. This new tone signals a shift in his personal and professional life, as he now aims to move forward with a sense of peace and closure.
