Ijumu Voters Forum Urges Dino Melaye to Stop Attacking Leaders

A grassroots organization of voters in Kogi State, the Ijumu Voters Forum (IYF), has urged former Senator Dino Melaye to refrain from making attacks against other political leaders in the state.

The call comes in response to Melaye’s recent criticisms of certain federal officeholders.

In a statement issued on Monday, the forum, through its coordinator Hon. Eleta Kelvin Oluseyi, asserted that Melaye lacks the moral authority to publicly criticize others, noting that his time in office did not produce substantial benefits for the people of Kogi West.

“Leadership is measured by impact, and by that standard, his record falls short of what the people of Kogi West deserved,” the statement read.

The forum added that Melaye’s tenure in public office was characterized more by controversy and political stunts than tangible development or service to his constituency.

“Instead of leaving a legacy of meaningful contributions, he became known for public quarrels and theatrics,” the statement continued. “He earned national nicknames that turned him into a spectacle rather than a statesman.”
