Actor Imran Khan has spoken candidly about how the love of his girlfriend Lekha Washington and his daughter Imarahas played a vital role in his emotional healing and personal growth. In an interview with NDTV, Imran described their love as “truthful and selfless,” calling it crucial to his recovery from depression.

Imran said that rediscovering love with Lekha has been “empowering, uplifting, and a two-way thing,” adding that both giving and receiving love has helped him heal. He shared that the past five to six years have been progressively better, a period that also coincided with therapy and feeling more settled within himself.

The actor married Avantika Malik in 2011, and the couple divorced in 2019. They share a daughter, Imara. Imran reportedly began dating Lekha Washington in 2020, and the two are said to be living together in a rented apartment in Mumbai.

On the professional front, Imran is set to return to the big screen with Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos, starring Vir Das, Mona Singh, Sharib Hashmi and Srushti Tawade. The film releases in theatres on January 16, marking his much-awaited comeback.
