Nigerian actress Toyin Abraham has expressed deep concern over the rising insecurity in the country, particularly following the recent terrorist attack in Kwara State and the abduction of schoolchildren in Kebbi State.
Reports indicate that three people were killed during a church program in Eruku, Ekiti LGA, Kwara State, while an undetermined number of worshippers were abducted. The incident occurred shortly after 25 secondary school girls were kidnapped in Kebbi State on November 17, 2025.
Reacting on her Instagram page, Abraham wrote about the emotional toll of such attacks, saying:
“How do we move past the heaviness in our hearts after watching the heartbreaking video of the attack in Kwara? How does any mother close her eyes at night knowing that 25 young girls have been stolen from their families?”
She further highlighted the broader impact of terrorism, noting that it threatens the very idea of safety, childhood, and peace, and urged reflection on how to protect innocent lives in an increasingly violent world.
Abraham joined other public figures in calling for attention to the nation’s security challenges, stressing that terrorism and religious extremism are altering the fabric of communities across Nigeria.
