Kaduna Accelerates Statewide Infrastructure Projects Under Governor Uba Sani

The Kaduna State Government is fast-tracking key infrastructure initiatives across all 23 local government areas, in line with Governor Uba Sani’s development blueprint, according to Dr. Abdullahi Baba Ahmed, Managing Director of the Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA) and the Governor’s Overseeing Adviser on Project Monitoring.

Dr. Ahmed led an inspection team to ongoing projects in Zone 1, highlighting completed and ongoing road works including:

  • Dogon Bauchi–Kakiyeyi–River Galma road (35 km) in Zaria
  • Hanwa–Agoro–Hanga Ruga rural access road
  • Bagoma–Gagumi road (35.6 km) in Birnin Gwari
  • Gadan Gayan–Gwaraji–Kujama Junction road connecting Igabi and Chikun LGAs

Other inspected projects include Makarfi–Durum–Kurntumawa road, Kudan–Sabongari road, and several access routes around Sabongari Market aimed at improving traffic flow and commerce.

Healthcare infrastructure is also receiving attention, with Makarfi General Hospital undergoing extensive remodelling, structural upgrades, and installation of modern medical equipment. Contractors, including MotherCat Ltd., CGC China, CCECC, PW, and FAMTRAC, are actively working across the state to ensure timely completion.

Dr. Ahmed assured residents that all projects are closely monitored to meet high standards, noting that these interventions are central to strengthening infrastructure, boosting economic opportunities, and improving quality of life in Kaduna State.

Residents praised the renewed momentum, highlighting the positive impact on business and healthcare delivery in their communities.
