Kizz Daniel Explains Missed Paris Concert Amid Backlash

Nigerian Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has addressed the controversy surrounding his missed Paris concert, attributing the issue to a dispute between his tour agent and the event promoter.

In an Instagram story, Daniel explained that he was fully prepared to perform but missed his flight due to delays caused by his agent, Olamide Baron, attempting to resolve payment issues. He alleged that Baron had sold the show to another promoter, who then breached their contract by not paying the balance.

“First, this wasn’t my fault. Whatever clips y’all are seeing is a beef between the tour agent @olamidebaron and the show promoter. I was paid to perform in Paris in full… he sold the show to another promoter and the promoter breached his contract by not paying him his balance,” he wrote.

Kizz Daniel said he arrived at the venue ready to perform, but the organizers had closed for the night. He noted that the next available flight was at 5:25 PM, causing him to miss the scheduled performance.

He also highlighted his dedication to fans during previous international shows:

  • Italy: Performed at 4 AM after getting ready since 8 PM.
  • Sweden: Took the stage at 1:30 AM despite curfew restrictions.

Kizz Daniel assured fans that he is ready for upcoming shows in Amsterdam and Cologne, sharing that the promoters have provided specific performance times and that he will be present.

“I came to the venue still because I wanted to perform, unfortunately the venue closes by 11 PM… I tried my best to make this run a smooth one. But sometimes, ‘e get as e be,’” he added.

The singer concluded by reaffirming his commitment to his fans and his readiness for the remaining European tour dates.
