
Dr. Olumide Oluyinka, Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, will headline the UPDC Annual Real Estate Summit scheduled for Wednesday.
As the special guest, Dr. Oluyinka will open discussions on “New Towns and Their Impact on Economic Development,” setting the stage for insights into how purpose-built urban settlements can drive Nigeria’s economic growth.
Organised by UPDC Plc, a leading real estate development and investment firm, this fourth edition of the summit will bring together policymakers, investors, developers, and industry thought leaders to explore innovative urban planning strategies.
UPDC’s Managing Director/CEO, Odunayo Ojo, highlighted the importance of new towns, citing the company’s flagship project, Brompton City, as a model for balanced and sustainable urban development.
The summit will feature a keynote address by Prof. Franklin Ngwu, Director of Public Sector Initiative and Professor of Strategic Management & Governance at Lagos Business School (LBS).
The panel discussion will include Oluwole Olumide Sotire, Permanent Secretary of the ministry; Mrs. Erejuwa Gbadebo, MD/CEO of Eko Development Company; and Mr. Louis Ogbeifun, Chief Investment Officer of TotalEnergies Nigeria Closed Pension Fund Administrators. The session will be moderated by Mr. Priye Johnson, UPDC Plc’s Chief Commercial Officer.
