Lagos Sets November 10 Deadline for NUPENG on Lekki E-Call Up Compliance

The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, has set a firm November 10 deadline for the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) to comply with the Lekki e-call up system. The directive follows ongoing violations by some tanker operators, which have led to cash collections and uncontrolled truck parking, causing congestion along the Lekki-Epe corridor.

Osiyemi emphasized that the e-call up system requires all trucks to be validated and cleared online before accessing designated parks, warning that enforcement measures will begin if compliance is not achieved by the deadline.

NUPENG officials pledged to sensitize members and ensure full adherence, while also addressing other operational concerns raised by the Ministry. The meeting was attended by senior officials of the e-call up system and Ministry management staff.
