According to the Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the suspects lured the woman, alongside her baby, to the outskirts of Sheme village. It was there that they murdered and burnt the bodies before throwing them into a well. Rabi’u, one of the prime suspects, a 35-year-old man, has been arrested by the police. During interrogation, Rabi’u reportedly confessed to carrying out the crime in collaboration with an accomplice who remains on the run. The authorities have launched a manhunt to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
