Moniepoint Inc has reaffirmed its commitment to developing tech talent in Nigeria and across Africa with the opening of applications for the second cohort of its flagship DreamDevs initiative.
The program, designed to bridge the continent’s tech skills gap, equips recent graduates with industry-ready skills and hands-on experience. Co-Founder and CTO Felix Ike stated:
“With the right training and support, Africa’s young tech talent can compete globally. DreamDevs creates sustainable career pathways that drive Africa’s digital economy forward.”
DreamDevs complements Moniepoint’s other initiatives, including HatchDev, a collaboration with NITHub Unilag producing 500 specialised developers annually, and Women-in-Tech, now in its fifth year. It also aligns with the Federal Government’s 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme, for which Moniepoint is a key sponsor.
The nine-week bootcamp immerses participants in practical software engineering training, with top performers offered six-month internships and potential full-time employment at Moniepoint. Last year, the inaugural cohort led to four hires, validating the program’s effectiveness.
Participants are expected to have foundational knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and may be selected based on technical aptitude, learning potential, and alignment with Moniepoint’s values. Applications are open until January 20, 2026, via dreamdevs.moniepoint.com.
Alumnus Victor Adepoju, now a Backend Engineer at Moniepoint, said:
“The program provided a solid foundation in cloud technologies and soft skills like planning and organisation, which are invaluable in my day-to-day work.”
