Mouka Partners with Healthcare Facilities Across 15 States to Support Newborns

Mouka Limited, a leading manufacturer of household and industrial foam products and a member of the Dolidol International Group, has kicked off 2026 by renewing its heartwarming tradition of supporting families welcoming newborns. The initiative, which reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to enhancing lives through quality sleep, has seen Mouka partner with healthcare facilities across 15 Nigerian states to honor new parents.

The states involved in the initiative include Lagos, Oyo, Imo, Rivers, Abia, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Gombe, Kano, Plateau, and several others, where Mouka celebrated the arrival of 71 precious babies born at the dawn of the New Year.

Each family received a thoughtful collection of gifts designed to help new parents provide the best care for their babies, including Mouka Dreamtime Baby Mattresses—specially crafted to offer unparalleled comfort and support to infants. Other gifts included pillows, toys, and baby skincare essentials.

Celebrating Newborns in Lagos with the First Lady

In Lagos, Mouka’s partnership with the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, added a special touch to the event, as they together honored the first babies born in 2026. The celebrations took place at General Hospital Ibeju-Lekki, General Hospital Gbagada, and General Hospital Imota, where the mothers of newborns were warmly presented with gifts.

The most significant moment came when Mr. and Mrs. Daramola welcomed the first baby of the year, a baby girl, at exactly 12:00 a.m. at General Hospital Gbagada, while another milestone was marked by the birth of a baby boy to Mr. and Mrs. Mayowa at General Hospital Ibeju-Lekki just minutes later.

Commitment to Healthy Sleep Practices

Mouka’s Managing Director, Mr. Femi Fapohunda, passionately expressed the company’s mission to promote healthy sleep habits from infancy. “As champions of quality sleep, we believe that fostering good sleep practices from the very beginning is vital for physical and cognitive development,” he said. He emphasized that the Mouka Dreamtime mattress was carefully designed to be both water-resistant and breathable, ensuring a comfortable sleep environment for babies.

Reaching Families Nationwide

The initiative spread across Nigeria, including in Niger State, where General Hospital Minna marked the birth of the first baby of the year at 1:42 a.m. to Mr. and Mrs. Rahma, followed shortly after by baby Jafar born at 2:06 a.m.

Mouka representatives visited hospitals nationwide, sharing joy and congratulatory messages with families, reinforcing the brand’s role as a socially responsible corporate entity deeply invested in the well-being of Nigerian families.
