Popular entrepreneur and businessman Linus Williams Ifejika, widely known as Blord, has announced a major breakthrough after securing a Microfinance Bank (MFB) licence from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The approval marks Blord Group’s formal entry into Nigeria’s regulated fintech and inclusive banking sector, representing a significant expansion from its earlier digital and crypto-focused operations.
Reacting to the development, Blord described the milestone as the start of a broader vision, declaring: “My Elumelu journey has just begun.”
With the new licence, Blord Group is now authorised to provide regulated financial services, with a focus on financial inclusion, small and medium-scale enterprises, and underserved communities across the country.
The move positions the company as a new player in Nigeria’s evolving financial services landscape, aligning with national efforts to deepen access to banking and credit facilities.
