The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has unveiled an Inter-Agency Innovation Competition and Awards designed to promote creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving among Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government.

The initiative aligns with NASENI’s statutory mandate to develop and sustain a dynamic science and engineering infrastructure capable of driving Nigeria’s indigenous industrialisation, job creation, and overall national development.

According to NASENI, the competition is aimed at harnessing innovative ideas from public servants that can address critical national challenges while accelerating technological advancement across government institutions.

The agency explained that the programme will encourage MDAs to leverage science and technology to improve public service delivery and enhance the quality of life of Nigerians.

Participating MDAs are invited to submit innovative proposals across key sectors, including health, agriculture, education, and infrastructure, with solutions expected to demonstrate practicality, impact, and scalability.

Entries for the competition can be submitted online via https://naseni.gov.ng/innovation/.

NASENI urged government institutions to embrace the initiative as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to national development, stressing that collaboration and innovation remain vital tools for unlocking Nigeria’s full potential.
