
Ibadan, Oyo State – Seaman’s Schnapps, Nigeria’s leading prayer drink, has reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots empowerment as a co-sponsor of the Nigerian Artisans and Technicians Conference (NATCO) 2025 in Ibadan. The event recognized and rewarded six outstanding artisans across three key skill categories.
Following a rigorous screening and interview process, the winners were:
- Tailoring/Fashion Design: Miss Sahad Omolara (18, Iseyin) and Oduola Abdulsalam (25, Ibadan North)
- Bricklaying: Moshood Mubarak (16, Iddo Council) and Abiodun Akinyemi (36, Ibadan North West)
- Automobile/Mechanics: Akeem Raji (37) and Kazeem Ismail (Challenge, Ibadan)
NATCO 2025 aimed to bring artisans together for skill enhancement, enterprise development, and empowerment, drawing tradesmen, technicians, apprentices, and aspiring professionals alongside stakeholders and government representatives.
Highlights of the conference included hands-on technical workshops, enterprise-focused sessions, and presentation of empowerment packages to artisans across diverse trades such as tailoring, bricklaying, electrical works, welding, solar technology, and shoemaking.
“This is a dream come true. I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity,” said Miss Sahad Mariam Omolara upon receiving her empowerment package from dignitaries including Hon. Adebisi Adeniyi, Oyo State Commissioner for Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives; Ms Ogunlana Doyinsola, Trade Marketing Manager; Mr Dayo Bello, NATCO Convener; and Mrs Nnenna Uche-Onyenacho, Senior Brand Manager at Seaman’s Schnapps.
Speaking on the brand’s philosophy, Mr Gbemileke Lawal, Marketing Manager of Seaman’s Schnapps, noted:

A symbolic highlight of the event was a libation ceremony by Mr Yusuf Ayodele, CEO of Yusayo Technology, using Seaman’s Schnapps to pray for success, fulfilled aspirations, and continued progress for Nigeria’s artisan community.
As co-sponsor, Seaman’s Schnapps provided financial support and brand-led initiatives that celebrated the dignity of labor and the spiritual strength of Nigerian artisans.
