Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has reacted to reports alleging that her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, issued an arrest warrant against her and members of her family over the alleged theft of $40,000.
Reports circulating online claim that the senator accused Regina Daniels and her relatives of stealing the money, leading to police involvement and an alleged arrest warrant.
Addressing the issue during a live video session, a relative of the actress identified as Speedy revealed that she had been invited by the police for questioning in connection with the alleged theft. Regina later claimed that it had been confirmed that Ned Nwoko was behind the complaint.
The actress further alleged that a warrant had been issued for the arrest of herself and some of her family members over the accusation.
Questioning the credibility of the claim, Regina dismissed the allegation, stating that Ned does not keep cash at home, making it unclear how such an amount could have been stolen.
“Ned doesn’t even keep money at home, so which one is we stole $40,000?” she said.
In the video, Speedy challenged Ned Nwoko to provide video evidence of the alleged theft, noting that surveillance cameras are installed in the house. Regina also maintained that Speedy was not present in the house on the day the money was reportedly stolen.
As tensions rose during the exchange, Regina was seen urging Speedy to remain calm and return indoors with her older brother, Sammy.
“Oya, go inside. Carry brother Sammy, everybody, go inside,” Regina pleaded.
