“A few days ago, a video on social media caught my attention. It was about a unique drone competition organised by ISRO. Our country’s youth, especially our Gen-Z, attempted to fly drones in Martian-like conditions. In this competition, a team of young people from Pune achieved some success. Their drone even fell and crashed several times, but they did not give up. After several attempts, this team’s drone managed to fly for some time in the conditions of Mars.”

PM Modi drew parallels between the young innovators’ determination and India’s space missions, recalling the challenges faced during Chandrayaan-2 when communication was lost with the Vikram lander. He noted that, just as the setback did not deter ISRO scientists, the persistence of the Pune youth reflects the spirit of a “Viksit Bharat” (developed India).

The Prime Minister also highlighted the inauguration of Skyroot Aerospace’s Infinity Campus in Hyderabad on November 27, which he termed a “new boost” to India’s space ecosystem. Developed with an investment of around ₹1,300 crore across 45,000 sqm, the facility caters to Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. This is the first time a global aircraft engine manufacturer has set up a dedicated MRO facility in India, marking a significant milestone in the aviation sector.
