The Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) has welcomed new members to its Governing Council following its November meeting at Insurers House on November 27, 2025.

Re-coopted members include:

• Mr. Andrew Ikekhua, Managing Director of NEM Insurance Plc
• Mr. Olalekan Oyinlade, Managing Director of emPLE General Insurance Limited

Newly co-opted to the council is:

• Mr. Tunde Mimiko, of SanlamAllianz Life Insurance Limited

The appointed members will serve a one-year tenure on the council.

NIA Chairman, Mr. Kunle Ahmed, congratulated the new council members, expressing confidence in their abilities and urging them to represent the association effectively while driving its growth and development.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Folashade Joseph, Mr. Bode Opadokun, Mr. Femi Asenuga, and Mr. Lawrence Nazare have exited the current council, having completed their tenures.
