
Nigerian Army troops operating under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) successfully repelled a terrorist drone attack at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Molai in Delwa village, Konduga Local Government Area, Borno State, on December 16.
The terrorists deployed four armed drones equipped with explosives, but the troops neutralized the threat. Efforts are ongoing to trace the launch points and apprehend the perpetrators. Troops across Sectors 2, 3, and 4 of OPHK continue offensive operations under Desert Sanity IV.
In related security operations, troops under Operation Safe Haven (OPEP) raided criminal hideouts and an illegal mining site at Rafin Bauna and Gero mountains in Plateau State, arresting three suspects and recovering a fabricated rifle, ammunition, generator, shovels, and water pipes.
Meanwhile, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) troops rescued a kidnapped victim in Yelewata, Guma Local Government Area, Benue State. The victim, abducted on December 14 from Gidan Waya, Nasarawa State, was abandoned by kidnappers upon encountering the troops.
The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining offensives against terrorists, bandits, and criminal elements across the nation.
