The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Ltd, a leading consumer packaged goods company and member of the Coca-Cola HBC group, reaffirmed its dedication to women’s leadership and inclusion by partnering with Women in Management, Business, and Public Service (WIMBIZ) for the organisation’s 24th Annual Conference.

Held on 6–7 November 2025 at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, the event carried the theme “Own. Walk. Nurture.”

During the panel session, Dr. Oluwasoromidayo George, NBC’s Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, shared insights on “Leading from the Inside Out: Balancing Ambition, Vulnerability & Purpose.” Drawing from her corporate leadership and sustainability experience, George emphasized authenticity, emotional intelligence, and vulnerability as critical tools for women to build influence and maintain trust.

“When we talk about vulnerability, I would equate it to being open and confident at work; it draws connection and trust. Be authentic, stay true to yourself, and align your values wherever you find yourself. Be kind to yourself and to others. As a woman, you have to show up, and you have to show up good,” she said.

NBC also demonstrated its commitment to women-led entrepreneurship, awarding N1 million grants to Toyibah Shehu Mohammed of FarhM’s Food and Sauce Global Limited and Helen Gabriel of Ogy’s Cakes. The grants, presented by Jolomi Fawehinmi, NBC’s People & Culture Director, recognize women driving economic impact through resilience and creativity.

“At NBC, we believe that women-led businesses contribute immensely to the economy, and when that happens, communities also thrive,” Fawehinmi said.

NBC, a strategic partner of The Coca-Cola Company, manufactures and distributes a wide portfolio of beverage brands including Coca-Cola, Coke Zero, Fanta, Sprite, Schweppes, Limca, Five Alive, Eva Water, and partners with other businesses for Monster and Predator energy drinks and premium spirits.
