The Federal Government of Nigeria has taken delivery of 50 additional Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses as part of its ongoing effort to provide cheaper and safer transportation for citizens.
Ajayi Oluwatobi, Chairman of Nordmotion, announced the delivery via his X account, noting that the buses are part of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGI).
“We are proud to announce the successful delivery of 50 units of our fully CNG-powered buses to the Federal Government of Nigeria,” Oluwatobi stated.
This new batch comes after a previous delivery of 50 CNG-powered buses, further expanding the government’s fleet.
The PCNGI, established by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023, was designed to mitigate the impact of fuel subsidy removal and provide Nigerians with more affordable and environmentally friendly transport options.
