
Osun United have shortlisted three candidates for the vacant head coach position ahead of the 2025/26 Nigeria National League (NNL) season,
The shortlisted coaches include Akinade Onigbinde, Duke Udi, and Shina Afolabi.
Afolabi, who previously served as assistant to former head coach Seye Ajayi, is being considered for a possible promotion following Ajayi’s departure at the end of last season.
Former Super Eagles midfielder Duke Udi, who managed the Omoluabi Giants during the 2016–17 season, is also in contention for a return to the club.
Meanwhile, Akinade Onigbinde, who recently resigned from Doma United, is seen as a strong contender for the role. He notably guided Doma United to promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) during the 2023–24 campaign.
The club’s management is expected to announce its final decision before the kickoff of the new NNL season, scheduled to begin on Saturday, November 8.
