SEOUL, Nov 5, 2025 – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un may conduct a nuclear test at the Punggye-ri nuclear facility in the near term, according to South Korea’s Defense Intelligence Agency, reported by Yonhap News Agency.

The intelligence report also highlights North Korea’s potential plans to launch additional spy satellites with Russian technical assistance, aiming to obtain high-resolution reconnaissance satellites beyond current capabilities.

The Defense Intelligence Agency has not yet commented on the report.

This development comes amid ongoing international concerns about North Korea’s nuclear program and missile capabilities.
