As part of his campaign to represent Lagos Island Constituency I in the National Assembly, Ibrahim Obanikoro engaged with his ancestral community, Idoluwo, in a symbolic town hall meeting.
The meeting, held in the heart of Idoluwo, allowed Obanikoro to share his vision and aspirations directly with residents, an exercise he described as deeply personal. Speaking in front of his family home, he praised the warmth, unity, and encouragement he received, saying it reaffirmed his commitment to public service.
Obanikoro expressed gratitude for the support of elders, women, and youth in the community, noting their guidance, love, and steadfast backing. He said their presence underscored the trust placed in his leadership and the responsibility to serve effectively.
He also commended the administrative leadership of Idoluwo for facilitating the consultation, describing it as rooted in family, heritage, and shared values. Reaffirming his connection to the people, Obanikoro emphasized unity as the foundation for progress, declaring: “Idoluwo Community: Together we stand. Joy is coming.”
This consultation is part of Obanikoro’s broader grassroots engagement strategy across Lagos Island Constituency I, aimed at building consensus and mobilizing support ahead of the elections.
