Odumodublvck Slams M.I Abaga, Revokes Respect for Hip-Hop Veteran

Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck (Tochukwu Ojogwu) has publicly denounced hip-hop veteran M.I Abaga, calling him a “fence-sitter,” a “short man devil,” and a “rat” in a series of posts on X.

Odumodublvck claimed M.I remained neutral in the face of what he described as a blatant lie directed at him, prioritizing his public image over taking a stand. The rapper emphasised his indifference to public opinion, contrasting himself with M.I.

In one post, Odumodublvck wrote:

“You stood in front of a blatant lie and decided to sit on the fence like Abuchi. I have lost every iota of respect for you… You are nothing but a rat.”

The outburst sparked mixed reactions online. Critics condemned Odumodublvck for showing disrespect to a foundational figure in Nigerian rap, noting his previous calls to honor elders. Others defended the statement, arguing that accountability should supersede seniority.

M.I Abaga, co-founder of Chocolate City and two-time BET Award nominee, has not responded to Odumodublvck’s remarks. His last public comment on younger artists was in July 2025, encouraging them to match his studio output and asserting that he felt no intimidation from the new generation.
